Crina Caragi: You go beyond your limits with eTwinning
Crina CARAGI, pupil from ‚Emil Nicula’ Lyceum, Mereni, Anenii Noi
Being a pupil is not easy these days. It’s true that we need a lot of action. Accordingly, the expectations of our parents and teachers are high. But I’m not saying all this now to complain. I am glad that the school makes me strong, teaches me how to cope with different situations and especially, it makes me feel satisfied with the job well done.
eTwinning is a platform in which you have to be creative, go beyond your limits, communicate with other colleges from your school and schools from abroad. Most of all I liked the ‚At home for Christmas’ project, because it was a project we were so much engaged in, we were creative, we had a lot of things to do, and I think we made it.
We created a traditional food e-book. I decided to make with my grandmother Moldovan stuffed cabbage leaves. My grandmother has taught me cooking since I was a child. Well, I have to learn a lot before my dishes are as delicious as my grandma’s.
Then, at school, I used to sing Christmas carols, write Christmas greetings and interact with pupils from several schools from Romania. It’s very cool to communicate with young people, colleagues, whom you see on the screen for the first time, but with whom you feel that you have already shared a lot. We are all very polite at the beginning, but within an hour we adapt and get used to talk more freely and even make jokes. We exchanged views and found that we have much in common. This united us all and made us feel like family. I have not experienced anything like this before. It was something new for me.
Now, most of all, I want to do as many projects in English as possible. We are ready at any time to participate, especially since we speak English very well, and I think that we’ll do our job perfectly.
