Cristina Bas: Involvement in one of the eTwinning projects makes you grow and develop your abilities.
Cristina BAȘ, pupil of lyceum ‚Constantin Stere’, Soroca city
I recently completed 11th grade. Next year I will graduate from the lyceum and frankly speaking, I’ll really miss it. I feel at home in the lyceum. Not only my class fellows, but also my teachers are my friends. Respect we have to each other makes us better and makes us engage in many activities which will help us gain not only book-knowledge, but also life-knowledge.
I started participating in eTwinning projects from 9th grade. It was an exciting experience, and I wanted this to be repeated. So, my wish came true quickly, because there are several eTwinner teachers in our school, so I participated in projects on various topics, from various subjects.
Sometimes in the evening I access the eTwinning platform and read what’s new. I like the eTwinning platform very much since it’s a good opportunity for young people, for us, it gives us the opportunity to do something else, to launch projects, collaborate, share experiences and organize various activities. As part of the project ‚We and you Europeans’ we held an online conference with pupils from Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania. It was very interesting to talk with pupils from other countries and, above all, to have the same goals. We made speeches and recited poems, and each pupil represented his/her country.
Involvement in the project makes you grow and develop. Discussions with colleagues from other countries helped me feel more confident to speak English. I feel this difference while travelling and I already speak English fluently. And this is truly a wonderful personal experience.
I also can speak French. So, I’m thinking to apply for admission at a university in France or the Netherlands. Before, the idea of leaving my country worried me, but the activity at school gave me courage. I’d like to study abroad because it will be a very good experience. But I also would like to come back to Moldova and change something here.
I want to thank my teachers from the lyceum ‚Constantin Stere’ for accepting the challenge and participating in projects, because eTwinning has become a way of life, a community of pupils and teachers, perhaps even a family.
