ETWINNING PROJECT COVERING ALL QUALITY CRITERIA

NATIONAL ETWINNING QUALITY LABEL

The eTwinning Quality Certificate is awarded to the teacher who has participated in an eTwinning project that has reached certain quality standards.

The Partner Support Agency (PSA) in each country evaluates the applications submitted in order to obtain the National Quality Certificate.

Starting with 2020, in the Republic of Moldova there are three sessions for granting national quality certificates:
Session 1 – deadline for completing application forms: January 31.
The evaluation is carried out during February;
Session 2 – deadline for completing application forms: June 30.
The evaluation is carried out during July;
Session 3 – deadline for completing application forms: 31 August.
The evaluation takes place during September.

In 2019, in the Republic of Moldova there were two sessions for granting national quality certificates:
Session 1 – deadline for completing the application forms: June 15.
The evaluation is carried out between June 16 and 30;
Session 2 – deadline for completing application forms: 31 August.
The evaluation takes place during September.

Quality certificates are granted to teachers, being personal and nominal (it is not automatically granted to all participants in the project – each teacher applies separately and receives separate recognition). If you work with other colleagues in your school, every teacher participant will have to fill in a separate application for obtaining the quality certificate, an application in which they will show  their contribution to the project. The quality certificate is only available to teachers who have actively and visibly contributed to the project activities.

Application requirements:

  • The project must be closed or at least at the evaluation stage:
  • The project must have been active in the school year or the calendar year preceding the session in which it is being evaluated or, if it is still active / at the time of submitting the application form, to demonstrate that all the planned stages (including the evaluation stage and expected results) are performed.
  • Each teacher can request the quality certificate for up to 3 projects if they participate in several eTwinning projects.
  • The deadline for completing the application form must be respected. Requests submitted later will be evaluated in the next evaluation session.
  • All compartments of the application form must be completed and real arguments about the candidate’s work in the project must be proved.      Note: To access the Application Form, sign in to eTwinning Live, go to the Projects tab, select the project you want, and click on Apply for a Quality Label.
  • The information provided in the application form MUST NOT be repeated in other application forms of the same teacher or other teachers, otherwise all applications will be rejected.
  • The Application form is completed in one of the following languages: Romanian, English or Russian.

Criteria for  National Quality Label:

Pedagogical innovation:

  • the project has originality in terms of its theme
  • it uses a variety of pedagogical methods
  • pupils are the ones who take the lead
  • pupils interact with their partners and work collaboratively using different methods like information gathering, problem solving, research, comparative work
  • pupils take different roles as artists, journalists, technicians, scientists, actors etc.

 Curriculum Integration:

  • the project is anchored in the curriculum
  • the project-based pedagogical framework was explained and documented by the teacher
  • the majority of the project work is done during the lessons
  • the curricular integration into the project is evident and clear
  • project activity allows students to develop skills and competencies.

Communication and exchange between partner schools:

  • the information sharing has identifiable goals
  • communication between pupils is a clear goal for the teachers
  • students can share the work, deal with the same topic, interact and come up with a final outcome
  • communication activities are designed to encourage students to read, listen and view the work of their partners.

 Collaboration between partner schools:

  • partner schools work together to engage in joint activities
  • partners are not just recipients of information
  • collaborative activities result to a tangible outcome
  • Use of Information and Communication Technology: technology serves to help partners reach their pedagogical goals.

Use of technology:

  • the technology is used to help the partners achieve their pedagogical objectives
  • the tools help partners to collaborate better among themselves

Results, impact and documentation

Make sure that:

  • the project results are presented online
  • students are involved in the TwinSpace
  • all steps of the project are documented including planning – activities’ description – evaluation – feedback
  • you evaluate and publish the impact that the project had on the students and teachers involved in the project.

EUROPEAN QUALITY LABEL – No need to apply!

The European Quality Certificate is a second sign of recognition of success, indicating that the project has reached a certain European standard.

The European Quality Assurance Certificate is awarded by the Central Support Service (CSS) to teachers from a project that:

  • has been proposed for the European Quality Label by at least one National Support Service, after a screening process. Every National Support Service puts forward the top third of awarded National Quality Labels based on their quality score.
  • includes at least two partners that have received the National Quality Label. The European Quality Label is awarded only once a year and is featured on the eTwinning Portal.​​

The European Quality Certificate is awarded once a year and is presented on the eTwinning portal.

EUROPEAN ETWINNING PRIZE

To participate in the European eTwinning Prizes, you must have a European Quality Label.

The eTwinning SchoolCertificates are both, a recognition of the personal success of teachers and a confirmation of the outstanding results achieved by the entire eTwinning team of the educational institutions.
