eTwinning Ambassadors

An eTwinning Ambassador is a person who promotes and shares his/her passion for eTwinning, the ambassadors are eloquent about eTwinning and recommend enrolment on the platform that now has more than 578266 members. eTwinning ambassadors help ensure the sustainability of the programme, develop and maintain partnerships in education. Given that the ambassadors work as a first point of contact with eTwinning of many teachers, it is important for them to have excellent communication skills and in-depth knowledge of the eTwinning mechanism, and to be available to promote the programme at the national level.

Have you ever asked yourself: “How did other colleagues teach this subject? What methods did they use? Or how do other teachers deal with more difficult issues?” I still have such questions, but I can already easily find the answer, because while working in eTwinning I made friends with people who are on the same wavelength with me. They are always curious, innovative, determined and flexible, and they will always find a way to reach the child’s heart. In order to plant the seed of knowledge in a pupil’s head, you must first plant it in his/her heart. eTwinning is first and foremost a source of knowledge for me, and already after that – a direct way to the pupils’ heart. Thanks to eTwinning, I learn from sources across Europe and want to share them with other colleagues.

I became an eTwinner in 2014, having the opportunity to participate in bilateral seminars, such as Iasi-Moldova 2015, Bucharest-Republic of Moldova 2017, Austria-Vienna 2015.

In 2016, I was awarded the title of eTwinning Ambassador, so I had the honour to represent teachers from the Republic of Moldova at the annual meeting of ambassadors throughout Europe, held on the island of Rhodes.

Projects awarded with NQL and EQL: ‘PhotObiography’ 2015, ‘Family in the Children’s eyes’ 2016, ‘Spring bringS’ 2107.

As an eTwinning ambassador, I met many teachers who worked miracles in pedagogy art, through eTwinning projects. Participation in national and international seminars and conferences made me want to turn the years back, so I can teach those generations, using the methods that I am using at the moment. The teachers should not keep pace with the pupils, but should be far ahead of them, anticipating the results and the consequences of their teaching. Through eTwinning, I can see my personal position compared to other teachers, which motivates me to grow and change. eTwinning brought me closer to the child-pupil, in other words – much closer to the future and the world.

2017 Ambassador

In eTwinning in 2014, I was one of the trainers of eTwinners generations, developing teacher training programmes for their successful participation in eTwinning projects.

Successful projects: Be KIND – Be Keen to Involve in Noble Deeds (NQL, EQL) Bringing Generations Together (NQL, EQL)

For Liliana, eTwinning projects and eTwinning programme is a passion, but also a solution for implementing modern trends in education, a way to get to know Europe and bring it to pupils in the classroom.

I very much wanted to participate in eTwinning since 2011, when I met Barbara Anna Zielonka from Norway, who fascinated me with her enthusiasm and experience of working with pupils and teachers from other countries. Thus, in April 2013 I was among the first teachers from Moldova who registered on the eTwinning platform.

Within 5 years, together with my disciples we have implemented 25 eTwinning projects, involving about 150 children from lower and upper secondary education in a fascinating world of learning in an open European environment. Thanks to eTwinning, my pupils have learned how to work effectively in projects with colleagues from other countries: by using new technologies, developing valuable products, establishing friendly relations with other children, communicating sympathetically, and demonstrating their talent. Each eTwinning project gave me an unprecedented experience and new friends – eTwinners, special people with the desire and the ability to ensure a quality education!

During this wonderful period of time, I have created interesting project ideas that I offered to my pupils and partners. Thus, I have launched 8 projects successfully implemented in chemistry lessons: Chemical Heritage, 2018; The Planet of Happiness, 2018; Flowers of Friendship, 2017; Amazing Chemical Experiments, 2016; The Chemical Tree, 2016; The Miracle of Water (III), 2016; CRYSTALs, 2015; Top 10 uses of important chemical substances in our life, 2015. I am very glad that our projects were highly appreciated: with the National Quality Label – 8, with the European Quality Label – 6.

In 2015, I was appointed as the eTwinning Ambassador, the role, which gave me the responsibility of continuously teaching and the possibility of promoting successful projects and practices at the national and international levels, by participating in trainings, conferences, seminars, events, groups, courses, and scientific didactic publications. A candle goes out, if another candle is not lit! That is why I invite teachers to follow me and discover with their disciples a wonderful universe – eTwinning! This is a way to open ourselves.

2016 eTwinning Ambassador

A modern teacher is one who teaches pupils to face challenges in their life. Thus, new teaching technologies and techniques are a priority in my teaching activity for facing these challenges. eTwinning provides us with a vast space for collaboration, new ways of teaching and learning, examples of good practice and self-development. As an eTwinning Ambassador, I am very pleased to build collaborative relationships among eTwinners from different parts of Europe and promote the endless effectiveness of this educational platform.

I joined the eTwinning community in 2014. Since then, I have collaborated in 10 projects, and the most successful are: My life -your life, Me the A.I., National symbols.

2015 eTwinning Ambassador

The eTwinning programme has opened up new professional training opportunities for me as a teacher. Starting from 2013, I have participated in multiple international eTwinning seminars, workshops and conferences, having the experts from different European countries as moderators. In addition, I participated in various online courses, webinars, non-conferences, learning events, offered by eTwinning, which gave me the opportunity to enrich my knowledge on the use of web tools, planning and successful implementation of eTwinning projects, project-based teaching etc. I participated in contact seminars in Botosani, Romania (2013), Krakow, Poland (2013), thematic conference on ‘Learning, teaching, exchanging – school cooperations in the Danube Region’ (2014) and in 2017 I attended the professional development workshop for ambassadors in Bristol, Great Britain. All these events have made a huge contribution in my professional development as eTwinner and eTwinning Ambassador. When I became the eTwinning Ambassador in 2015, I attended various educational events for teachers where I promoted the eTwinning programme, shared experiences gained and presented eTwinning projects developed together with my pupils. Starting from 2013, I have participated in 12 projects, and last year I was awarded a national quality label and a European quality label for the project ‘Let us get to know each other through books’.

The 2017-2018 school year was an active one for me as ambassador, as I participated in various conferences where I presented the programme and projects I was involved in, such as the eTwinning
